Hi, I'm Rachel and I am a highly successful and dedicated Senior Education Welfare Officer with 6 years legal experience of the Education Act 1996 Sections 444 (1) (a) and have experience working within the Local Authority and school's trust's here in the Southwest.
I work strategically with Southwest UK schools and academies providing solutions and resources to successfully reduce overall severe and persistent absence.
I take pride in providing schools and academies with an Education Welfare Service that has its feet firmly on the ground identifying attendance issues and help to develop bespoke strategies to improve schools overall attendance.

Education Welfare Officer in school service
With the choice of weekly, fortnightly, Half Termly, Termly in school visits comprising of half and full day packages.
This service will include EWO case work, home visits where needed to support attendance safeguarding, parent formal meetings, parent calls, sharing of attendance data using an EWO tracker and attendance data register coding support and queries.

The creation of bespoke schools attendance resource packs including processes to follow as an in school attendance process that complies to the chronology sought from the LA legal teams should a case be brought to prosecution.

Assistance and planning for Ofsted Inspections, including bespoke detailed case studies to present at inspection.

Attendance process in school training to all attendance staff and the attendance governor, creating a positive whole school approach to excellent attendance.

Auditing service, providing a feedback report on recommendations on how schools can improve overall attendance
